Weaved by the illiterate women and young girls who are unemployed; who are trained in tailoring and weaving by Amarjyoti Institute, Mahugaon, a vocational training centre managed by the Missionary Sisters of the Queen of the Apostles. To uplift the socio-economic conditions, the women and the young girls were given training. These shawls are handwoven on traditional wooden looms. The women are well trained in the hand-weaving techniques to get the best finishing and quality in the shawls. Authentic shawls are available in a variety of styles and vibrant colors. This spinning art helps the tribal artisans earn their livelihood.
